What Is Your S.H.E.F. Membership All About?

The SHEF community is the Kitchen Coach's inner circle membership. It has been established to help get you back on track, OR keep you on track beyond the Kitchen Reset Program. As a SHEF, you will receive ongoing support to keep you moving forward on your healthier and happier whole food journey.

MONTHLY PROJECT

The monthly SHEF projects are bite-sized and easily laid out for you to implement as it applies to you best. Like flavours of ice cream, some you will have a bigger preference for than others, but all will help you achieve serious progress! Most SHEF topics come from YOU, the community, as requests for things you would like to work on. Examples of monthly projects are below. 

ACCOUNTABILITY

This is quite possibly, thee most important part of the SHEF membership. Allow Ashley to be like your ‘gym buddy’ that is waiting for you at the gym, and therefore you go! Ashley wants you to succeed, possibly more than even YOU do – because she needs you to help create a tipping point TOWARDS health, especially for the next generation, using healthier, knowledgeable people as our army.

PRINTED HARDCOPIES

Each month you will receive the topic and project of the month in hardcopy format via real mail. No need for more screen time, you can hold this in your hands. You’ll be able to write all through it, so it’s easy to come back to and remember what you’ve done. We’re here to help keep you organised too!

CHEATSHEETS & GUIDES

Some topics of the month will be focused on helping you learn new information or a new skill. You will be sent useful reference pages or summaries in print form for easy access and memory jogging. These could include anything from lists of spice blends, to step-by-step instructions for knife sharpening, or even recipes for homemade safe cleaning products.

RECIPE VIDEO ARCHIVE

The recipe-and-video database of Cook With Me Live is all yours as a SHEF member. Access any recipe or video at any time of the day. Save yourself time and let your family learn from someone other than yourself. Give your teenagers the gift of healthy food skills WHILE they make you dinner with these full-length, step-by-step, instructional videos.

PRINTED RECIPES

You will receive recipes each month, in hardcopy format. No need to print them off yourself, just add them to your repertoire of nutritious-and-delicious options! Many people laminate or sleeve-protect them and put their chosen ones in order as meal planning for the week.

MEAL PLANNING APP

COMING IN 2019! This is a super exciting offering that will be exclusively offered to SHEF members. The power in this tool will help you meal plan with ease; organise your shopping list and trips; give you a huge selection of built-in recipes – including all Kitchen Coach recipes; help you understand nutritional contents in entire meals; track valuable information for future reference; and save you a TON OF TIME!

MONTHLY WEBINAR

Join in each month for a live Question & Answer Webinar, face-to-face with Ashley where we discuss the topic of the month as it applies to you and your family. Get to know your fellow SHEFs and be supported by the Kitchen Coach directly. The community of like-minded SHEFs has proven to be one of the most beneficial and uplifting parts of this journey, that can otherwise sometimes feel lonely.

PRIVATE FB GROUP

The SHEF community is not your average group of people. These are the action-takers, the movers and shakers. Share, collaborate, and gain support from like-minded people who have stood where you stand – and therefore under-stand.

Becoming a SHEF...

To become a SHEF, is to step into a place of personal power, knowing that your level of health is completely up to you, and to consciously choose to improve. Making this conscious choice immediately opens up a world of possibility and can only mean better and better results over time. The most challenging thing for many people today, is comprehending what “vibrant health” would even look like for them, because they have yet to experience it – but it is worth aiming for, in ways you can’t yet imagine!

 

In a crazy, busy, overwhelmed world of distraction, FOMO, and rarely feeling (good, productive, valued etc.) enough, it is all too easy to slip into the comfortable habits that you know, even if they are NOT serving your wellbeing. The delicious habit of devouring a chocolate croissant, a whole bag of chips, a bottle of wine, or a bowl of ice cream seems to serve the purpose in the moment, bringing you a brief sense of joy and distraction from other stressors. The comfort that this habit brings, triggers feel-good hormones to ease the daily burdens of life, but there’s a catch! And this catch is what is now leading to overwhelming increases in lifestyle diseases such as Autoimmune disease, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Atherosclerosis, Stroke, some Cancers, Obesity etc. This catch, is a vicious cycle of increased nutritional stress on the body from poor food (and lifestyle) choices that then feeds further psychological stress, which fuels more bad food choices, and further stress to the body. One day, it becomes all too much and the body ‘breaks’, usually at it’s weakest link, which is often related to the illnesses our parents or grandparents had.

 

Food can either be our poison or our medicine, and understanding the difference, makes all the difference in the world. As a stress-free, healthy, empowered foodie you will develop a deeper understanding over time of how to achieve the long-term health and lifestyle you desire, without all the struggle.

SHEF Time Commitment

Wondering how much time you will need to implement your mini-project each month? It is entirely up to you!...

Don't worry, the whole point of this membership is to give you bite-sized pieces of information that you can easily take action on each month.  Each topic will apply in different ways for each person.  If it is of particular interest to you, or focuses on an area that needs significant attention in your world, you may choose to give it a bit more energy.  Other topics may serve as more of a 'refresher' for you, such that they will not take you much time at all, but further your depth of understanding. 

The key thing to understand is that any time invested in learning something that will allow you to either live healthier, be more efficient, or enjoy the process of nourishing your body more, is a worthwhile investment. Learning curves are called curves for a reason, it gets steeper before it then gets easier and actually SAVES you time.

Depending on the topic of the month, and on you, the actual project reading, and/or implementation are expected to take between 2-6hrs per month.  Supplemental practising or habit-creation is recommended where applicable.

Every month you will receive a package in the mail 
a printed booklet about your monthly project or topic; printed recipes;
and any cheatsheets or guides that would be useful for that topic.
There may even be other little sneaky surprises in there too!


Topics will be largely determined by YOU, the SHEFs.

simply and easily so you can have long lasting success;

♦ All about healthier options for Party Food, how to do wholefood kids'
birthday parties, and special event meal planning strategies and/or sample plans;

♦ Keeping sharp knives, how to sharpen them; which knives to buy and how to store them etc;

♦ Sprouting how-to, which seeds for which benefits, kitchen garden basics etc;

♦ Bulk batching, meal prep day strategies, and bulk plans for the ultra time-poor; or

♦ DIY Gluten Free Sourdough deep dive, how-to, troubleshooting, why bother, and recipes.
